April 28th 2009 - Krome took home the gold at the 2009 WSWA awards in Orlando, FL. WSWA is said to be the
"premier industry event that connects America’s wine and spirits distributors with suppliers throughout the world
who seek to highlight, grow or enter their brands in the U.S. marketplace." Krome was described
as "creamy and sweet, Krome is a corn-based vodka made at Bendistillery
(Bend, OR). The small-batch
San Francisco World Spirits Double Gold
medal-winner is the featured vodka on many five-star restuarants'
martini lists worldwide." Look for Krome to be going Gold alot more in the future.

January 20th, 2009 wasn't only the first day on the job for newly-elected President Obama, but was also the day of a giant party thrown in his honor by The New York Times in New York City, which featured none other than Krome Vodka. The event was a huge success, not only for The NY Times, but for the brand as well, and a great way to start a relationship with the NY times. Roughly 500 of NYs finest socialites, writers, politicians and celebrities were in attendance and introduced to Krome Vodka, to rave reviews. The signature drink of the night, "Hail to the Chief", featured Krome vodka, pomegranate juice, seltzer, lime juice and blueberry garnish. Below are some links featuring write up's and photos. |
